The Global Money Platform lets businesses combine fiat and stablecoin services, with Nuvei and Marqeta among its first integration partners.
Mastercard and stablecoin infrastructure firm BVNK have launched the Global Money Platform, allowing businesses to offer services that combine traditional currencies and stablecoins. Mastercard said the platform is the companies’ first major integration since its acquisition of BVNK in August.
Businesses can use the service to hold and convert fiat and stablecoin balances, issue stablecoin-linked cards and send payments to recipients’ local bank accounts. The platform connects to Mastercard Move and its merchant network, so customers can also spend stablecoin balances using payment cards.
Mastercard said banks, fintech firms and businesses can embed the accounts into their own products or use them for treasury and settlement. Nuvei and Marqeta are among the first integration partners, alongside Ontop, Beem and Almond FinTech.
The company said support for agentic commerce and tokenized deposits will be added later. Mastercard executive Raj Dhamodharan described the launch as a step toward “the next generation of programmable and agentic commerce.”
