This notice explains the principles and safeguards Makkler applies when handling your personal data. It complements our Privacy Policy, which describes in detail what data we collect and why; this page focuses on how that data is protected and how you can exercise your rights over it.

1. Our approach to data protection

We collect only the personal data needed to operate your account, your Club memberships, and the features you use. We do not collect or process more data than is necessary for these purposes, and we do not use your data for anything beyond what is disclosed in our Privacy Policy.

2. How your data is protected

• Passwords are never stored in plain text - they are hashed before being saved.
• Payment card details are handled entirely by our payment provider and are never stored on Makkler's servers.
• Access to personal data within our systems is restricted to what is needed to operate the platform.
• We work with infrastructure and payment providers that maintain their own security and compliance standards.

3. Your rights

You have the right to:

• Find out whether we process your personal data, and request information about that processing,
• Access the personal data we hold about you,
• Request correction of inaccurate or incomplete data,
• Request deletion of your personal data, subject to any legal retention obligations we may have,
• Object to processing that you believe is unlawful or improper.

4. How we respond to requests

When you submit a data protection request, we verify your identity, review the request, and respond within a reasonable time. Where a request cannot be fulfilled in full - for example because we are legally required to retain certain records - we will explain why.
