This Payment Policy explains how paying on Makkler works: what you pay for, how renewals, cancellations and refunds are handled, and how creators receive their earnings. It is part of our Terms of Service.
1. Who this policy applies to
Makkler is operated by Makkler, LLC, a company organized in Wyoming, United States. This policy applies to members who pay for anything on Makkler and to creators who sell memberships through their Club, on the website as well as in the Makkler apps for Android and iOS.
2. Plans and prices
- Each Club's creator decides which plans the Club offers and what they cost. A Club can offer a Free plan, Tier 1, and Tier 1 + Tier 2.
- Paid plans are billed monthly or yearly, depending on the plan you choose. The price and billing period are shown before you pay.
- All prices are set, shown and charged in US dollars (USD). If your card is in another currency, your bank may apply its own exchange rate or fees.
- Makkler's own subscriptions, such as MakklerPRO, are priced by Makkler.
3. How you pay
- On the website, card payments are processed by our third-party payment provider, BoomFi. Your card details are handled by BoomFi and are never stored on Makkler's servers.
- In the Android and iOS apps, purchases go through Google Play or Apple App Store billing. They add to your Makkler balance, which you then use to pay for memberships and message credits. Purchases made through a store are also subject to that store's terms.
- Your Makkler balance is the amount available on your account, in USD. You can top it up by card on the website or with an in-app purchase, and use it for memberships and extra messages. Paying from your balance deducts the USD price from it.
4. Automatic renewal
Paid memberships renew automatically at the end of each billing period, every month or every year, until you cancel. At each renewal the plan's price is charged again to the payment method you used, or taken from your Makkler balance if you paid from it. You can manage your memberships at any time from your profile.
5. If a renewal payment fails
If a renewal can't be completed, for example because your card is declined or has expired, or your Makkler balance isn't enough, the membership isn't renewed and your access to paid content ends once the current period is over. For payments from your balance we let you know when this happens. You can join the Club again at any time.
6. Cancelling
- You can cancel a paid membership at any time from your profile. Cancelling stops the next renewal; it doesn't take away the time you have already paid for.
- You keep full access until the end of the current billing period. After that the membership ends and you are not charged again.
- Plans can't be changed in the middle of a billing period. To move to a different plan of the same Club, cancel, then join the new plan once your current period has ended.
- Cancelling on its own doesn't refund the current period. See Refunds below.
7. Extra message credits
If you want to send a creator more direct messages than your plan includes, you can buy extra message credits for that Club. They are a one-time purchase, paid from your Makkler balance, and they don't renew.
8. Refunds
Payments on Makkler are generally non-refundable, and we don't refund unused time in a billing period. There is one exception:
- Within 14 days of your most recent payment for a membership, you can ask for that payment back. This can be the latest subscription payment or the latest purchase of message credits, and each payment can only be requested once.
- You make the request from the membership in your profile, with a short explanation. The Club's creator reviews it and decides whether to approve it.
- If a subscription refund is approved, that membership ends immediately. If a message-credit refund is approved, the purchased credits are removed.
- Makkler then sends the money back to where it came from: your card, or your Makkler balance if you paid from it. How long it takes to arrive depends on the payment provider and your bank.
Please contact us before asking for a refund. If you were charged twice or by mistake, or can't access something you paid for, we can usually sort it out faster. Reach us through our Contact page or at [email protected].
9. Chargebacks and fraud
If a charge looks wrong, please talk to us before disputing it with your bank or card issuer; most problems can be solved directly. Chargebacks, and any fraudulent or unauthorised use of a payment method, may lead to the account involved being suspended.
10. Price changes
Creators can change the prices of their plans. Every price change is reviewed by Makkler before it goes live, and it only applies to future billing periods, never to a period that has already been paid for.
11. For creators: commission and payouts
- Makkler keeps a 20% platform commission on every purchase made in your Club, memberships and message credits alike. You receive the remaining 80%.
- Payouts are made manually every Wednesday between 09:00 and 18:00 Istanbul time (UTC+3). Each payout covers your balance as it stands at 09:00 that Wednesday.
- Payouts go to the bank account or crypto wallet (USDT or USDC on the network you choose) that you provide in your creator dashboard. Please make sure these details are correct.
- When a refund is approved, your 80% share of that payment is deducted from your balance. Your balance can therefore become negative; it is then recovered from your future earnings.
- No payout is made while your balance is zero or negative, and a balance under US$1 carries over to a later week.
- You are responsible for declaring and paying any taxes due on your earnings.
12. Makkler is not a broker
Makkler is a content platform, not a broker, bank or investment adviser. A membership gives you access to a creator's content; it is not a payment for investment advice or for any financial service. Please read our Risk Disclosure.
13. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time. The date at the top of this page shows when it last changed, and we will tell you about material changes by email.
