Each VLGC will be equipped with dual-fuel engines capable of burning LPG or conventional low-sulphur fuels.
STAMFORD, Conn., September 04, 2026--Dorian LPG Ltd. (NYSE: LPG) ("Dorian" or the "Company"), a leading owner and operator of modern very large gas carriers ("VLGCs"), today announced that it entered into an agreement with Hanwha Ocean to build three 90,000 cbm dual-fuel Panamax VLGCs for delivery in June, September, and December of 2030 for a total price of approximately $345 million.

Shares in South Korean shipbuilder Hanwha Ocean plunged almost 24% on Tuesday, after the company lost a multibillion-dollar contract for Canadian submarines to German naval shipbuilder TKMS. Kiel-based TKMS is to supply the country with up to 12 submarines, Canadian Prime Minister Mark Carney announced in Halifax on Monday.
