Canopy Growth to Supply Four Medical Cannabis Strains in UK

The Canadian producer will sell flower through GROW Group under Spectrum Therapeutics, extending its European medical cannabis business.

Canopy Growth will supply four Canadian-grown medical cannabis flower strains for distribution in the United Kingdom through GROW Group U.K. Ltd. The products will be sold under Canopy’s Spectrum Therapeutics brand, the company said September 22.

The UK launch brings Canopy’s portfolio products into a new market. GROW Group, a British pharmaceutical company, sources, imports, manufactures and distributes cannabis-based medicines. The companies did not disclose supply volumes, financial terms or a launch date.

The deal follows renewal of European Union Good Manufacturing Practice certification at Canopy’s Kincardine cultivation facility in Ontario. That certification allows the site to supply Canadian-grown cannabis to medical markets across Europe.

Kincardine is part of Canopy’s European supply chain, which also includes an EU-certified facility in Sankt Leon-Rot, Germany. The company has been widening its European flower lineup, including with strains developed by MTL Cannabis, which Canopy acquired.

The UK expansion comes as Canopy reports growth in its overseas business. International cannabis net revenue rose 10% year over year in the first quarter of fiscal 2027, according to the company. The UK deal adds a new distribution channel, but Canopy has not said how much revenue it expects from it.

Investors will be watching for the start of sales and any later disclosure of shipment volumes. For now, the announcement establishes a route to market through GROW Group, while leaving the deal’s commercial scale unquantified.
