Tomahawk Targets Year-End AIM Listing as Projects Advance

Chairman Rolf Gerritsen says Tomahawk is preparing an AIM move, with Slovakian technical work and Australian gold sampling shaping the timetable.

Tomahawk Metals is preparing for a possible AIM listing by year-end, executive chairman Rolf Gerritsen told Proactive on September 22. The Aquis-traded explorer is advancing gold and antimony projects in Slovakia and a gold project in Western Australia.

The listing plan depends on completing a Competent Person’s Report for the Slovakian assets, Gerritsen said. Tomahawk has been preparing admission documents, but the move remains subject to market conditions and required approvals.

A September 14 company update said three Slovak licences, Poproč, Lom and Strieborna, had transferred to its wholly owned Slovak subsidiary. Two more licences remain under application. The company said it had completed desk research and 3-D modelling, while exploration plans were being finalised for review in the technical report.

The Slovak portfolio includes historic gold and antimony mining areas. Tomahawk is also exploring potential European funding, Gerritsen said. The historical workings and data will need further technical assessment before they can establish the projects’ current exploration potential.

In Australia, Tomahawk reported a repeat rock-chip assay of 44.85 grams of gold per tonne at its Saturn project. The initial assay for that sample was 38.16 grams per tonne. Six of 32 samples returned more than 5 grams per tonne, according to the company’s September 1 announcement.

Those are surface samples, not drill results, and the company said the mineralised structures’ continuity remains untested by drilling. Follow-up mapping and sampling are intended to help identify targets for possible drilling.

The Saturn project is near the Koolyanobbing iron-ore operations in Western Australia. Tomahawk said it completed its acquisition of the project in June, giving it a second geographic focus as it works toward the proposed listing.

The next markers are the Slovakian technical report and any further exploration plans for Saturn. Until those steps are complete, the AIM timetable and the projects’ development prospects remain uncertain.
