Trust Stamp Broadens ID Dataweb Deal Beyond Initial Insurer Deployment

The expanded relationship gives Trust Stamp a wider route into enterprise identity-security accounts after three years of joint work.

Trust Stamp is turning a proven deployment with one of the largest life insurers in the United States into a broader distribution channel for its biometric-security technology.

The Atlanta-based company said September 14 that ID Dataweb will expand its use of Trust Stamp’s Irreversibly Transformed Identity Token, or IT2, across both its existing enterprise customers and future accounts. The companies have worked together for three years on a deployment serving one of the three largest U.S. life insurance providers, according to the announcement.

The commercial importance lies less in the initial customer than in the route to market. ID Dataweb operates an identity-threat platform that combines verification, behavioral analytics, device and credential intelligence, and risk scoring. The company says its services are used by Fortune 1000 organizations and process hundreds of millions of transactions, giving Trust Stamp access to a customer network it would otherwise need to build one account at a time.

IT2 is designed to convert biometric information into secure, revocable identity tokens rather than leave raw biometric data in storage. That distinction matters for insurers, banks, healthcare providers and government agencies, where a compromised biometric record cannot be reset in the same way as a password. Trust Stamp says the technology can support identity verification and fraud mitigation while reducing the exposure associated with handling sensitive biometric information.

For Trust Stamp, Nasdaq-listed under the ticker IDAI, the agreement offers a way to test whether an enterprise implementation can be repeated across sectors without rebuilding the product for every customer. President Andrew Gowasack described the expansion as part of the company’s commercial growth strategy, while ID Dataweb Chief Operating Officer Matt Cochran pointed to the three-year deployment as evidence the technology can operate in a demanding production environment.

The companies did not disclose contract value, customer names or a rollout timetable. That leaves the near-term financial impact uncertain. The strategic signal is clearer: privacy-preserving biometrics are being positioned as an embedded layer inside broader identity-risk infrastructure, not as a standalone verification product.
