HONG KONG, August 19, 2026--Oasis Management Company Ltd. ("Oasis") is the manager to funds that beneficially own approximately 19.5% of Kakaku.com, Inc. ("Kakaku" or the "Company"). Oasis has adopted the Japan FSA’s Principles for Responsible Institutional Investors (a/k/a the Japan Stewardship Code) and, in line with those principles, Oasis monitors and engages with its investee companies.
Bain Capital, a U.S. investment firm, and LY Corp. (YAHOF), an affiliate of SoftBank Corp. (SOBKY), are considering a fresh joint takeover offer for Kakaku.com Inc. (KKKUF), a Tokyo-based web-services company that operates online shopping price comparisons, restaurant bookings and job-search platforms. People familiar with the discussions said the possible proposal would likely exceed the 3,450, or $21.06, per-share offer submitted last week by EQT AB, a Stockholm-based private equity firm.
