BrightSpring’s Growth Pulls Ahead as Option Care Faces Chronic Headwinds

BrightSpring posted faster second-quarter growth, while Option Care’s lower valuation comes alongside chronic-therapy pressures on its outlook.

BrightSpring Health Services reported 23% year-over-year second-quarter revenue growth, while Option Care Health’s revenue rose 2%. Over the past six months, BrightSpring shares gained 34.2%, and Option Care shares fell 15.8%, according to the Zacks comparison.

BrightSpring combines pharmacy and provider services, including home health, hospice and personal care. Option Care is more focused on home and alternate-site infusion, with a network of more than 190 facilities.

BrightSpring’s adjusted EBITDA rose 44% to $206 million in the quarter. Management raised its 2026 revenue guidance to $15.1 billion to $15.425 billion. Option Care’s adjusted EBITDA increased 3% to $117.5 million, and its full-year guidance is $480 million to $495 million.

The report points to expansion in specialty therapies and infusion as growth drivers for BrightSpring. It says Option Care’s ambulatory infusion network reached 28 locations, with visits up 14% year over year. Option Care management expects chronic-therapy pressures to create roughly 600 basis points of revenue headwinds and a $55 million gross-profit headwind in 2026.

BrightSpring trades at a forward price-to-earnings ratio of 26.3, above the Zacks Medical sector multiple of 21. Option Care’s ratio is 11.33, below the sector’s 20.93. Zacks says BrightSpring’s higher valuation reflects stronger growth expectations, while Option Care’s discount comes with a more modest growth outlook.

For 2026, consensus estimates cited in the report call for BrightSpring sales of $15.3 billion and earnings per share of $1.82. Option Care estimates are $5.76 billion in sales and $1.87 in earnings per share.
